CHATHAM THANKS YOU!
"Thank you for being kind hosts to the U.S. veterans who visited Chatham this Veterans Day. As one of the U.S. military veterans who had the privilege of staying in one of your beautiful bed and breakfast inns, I wish to praise your historic town's quintessentially American hospitality to our veteran community---a hospitality that far transcended the customary "Thank you for your service".
As a military veteran and veterans' affairs advocacy professional in the greater Boston area, I want you to know that your community's gracious hospitality this past weekend meant, and means, a great deal to our nation's and our Commonwealth's military veterans. More than you may imagine. I am deeply grateful to, and am deeply proud of, the collective effort by the town of Chatham to honor military veterans."
Maria St. Catherine De Grace Sharpe Massachusetts Association of Women Veterans
"From the kind and knowledgable hosts, Jim and Val Mellett at the Carriage House Inn, to the unexpected and very generous gift bag that was put with contributions from the many participating businesses---the whole experience far exceeded my expections and more for an unforgettable weekend.
...As a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I am sincerely touched by the large scale outpouring of support that you all have extended to myself and the other veterans that were foturnate enough to be part of this experience. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart; your kindness and generosity is unlike anything I have ever expereience and will never be forgotten."
Armand Hunter SSG, MA Army National Guard
"We were here on Veteran's Day weekend, and the Bradford Inn and The Chatham Chamber of Commerce went all-out for veterans this weekend."
